THM CARBONES crank Clavicula SE Road LK 110 2x
The Clavicula SE is a full carbon crank with an integrated carbon axle. During development, particular emphasis was placed on an optimum structural design. The spider for the chainring mount should be emphasized here. It was defined exclusively after analyzing the load paths, both geometrically and structurally. This resulted in extreme lateral stiffness for optimum shifting behavior and outstanding stiffness in the circumferential direction for loss-free power transmission. As a side effect, so to speak, this optimization has resulted in an above-average stiff and light overall crank system.
THM-Carbones is particularly proud of a patent for the connection between the left-hand crank and the axle. This is the first time that a carbon-carbon material combination has been used, which has already been extensively and successfully tested in recent years. The decisive factor here is that it has been possible to minimize the relative movements between the teeth thanks to the identical fibre structure of the external and internal teeth. As a result, there is practically no wear and no possibility of noise development at this point. The Clavicula SE significantly raises the bar set by THM-Carbones. It can be regarded as a new reference in crank construction.
