LOOK KéO 2 Max Vision pedals
With the Look Vsion pedals, you are on the safe side in the dark season and on night rides. Thanks to the light units integrated into the pedals, you are visible to other road users from a distance of up to one kilometer by day and night. A study has even shown that the motion-based light at heel height improves visibility fivefold compared to a static light on the seat post. Weighing just 20 grams per pedal, the removable units increase the overall weight of the high-end pedals only imperceptibly.
With a width of 60 millimetres, the platform of the KéO 2 Max pedals offers more stability when pedalling. Overall, the usable contact area has been increased by 25% to 500 mm² compared to the previous version. This ensures better power transmission, especially during hard starts and sprints. In addition, the stainless steel surface has been adapted so that the same contact surface is available to the pedal plate when the foot is turned. The spring release hardness of the coil springs can be adjusted to personal preference using an adjusting screw.
The chromoly steel axle of the pedals has also been revised. The new Chromoly Plus axle sits directly under the contact surface to optimally absorb the forces when pedaling. The KéO 2 Max are supported by an industrial bearing and a needle bearing on the outside. In contrast to the previous version, the needle bearing is no longer held by a shaft ring, but by a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction in the pedal and ensures a better long-term fit of the bearing. This significantly reduces the risk of bearing play and at the same time increases the durability of the bearings.
Perfect visibility
The revolutionary lights with a luminosity of up to 60 lumens and a light angle of 180° make you visible earlier, even in bright sunshine. IPX7 waterproofing and four different light modes ensure perfect visibility even in the most adverse weather conditions.
Stop and go system
The light units automatically recognize whether you stop or continue driving. After 30 seconds of motionlessness, they switch to energy-saving standby mode. However, they start up again immediately when you start pedaling again.
Easy handling
The integrated light units offer you a maximum light duration of up to 40 hours. Both units can be recharged quickly using the USB-C charging cable with two connections included in the scope of delivery. If you don't need the units, they can be removed in a single movement.
