The Zipp 404 S wheels have been completely redesigned to offer you maximum speed on the road with an attractive price-performance ratio. Building on the success of the 303 S wheels, the 404 S expands the renowned Zipp S Collection with an aerodynamically highly efficient wheel line for road racing. With a consistent focus on maximum efficiency on the road, the 404 S stands out from the 303 S in several areas: better aerodynamics, optimized hub performance, a modern design, and an even more attractive price.
The 23-millimeter inner rim width allows for the use of tubeless tires ranging from 28 to 39 millimeters in width at low air pressure. This improves rolling resistance as well as control and riding comfort on a wide variety of road surfaces. The 50-millimeter-high rim profiles are based on the proven technologies of the Firecrest design, which offers outstanding aerodynamics combined with high stability in crosswinds.
The wheelset features a 20-hole front wheel and a 24-hole rear wheel and is built with double-crossed Sapim CX-Sprint spokes. At the center of the wheels are the proven Zipp 76 and 176 hubs with classic hub flanges. The ratchet freewheel, with 36 engagement points per wheel rotation, ensures extremely direct power transfer.
Despite its robust construction, the 404 S weighs in at just 1585 grams. For a personalized look, two decal options are available: striking white decals, familiar from the wheelsets of pro teams, or subtle dark gray decals for a timeless, classic look.
Zipp Lifetime Warranty
Zipp offers a lifetime warranty on your Zipp wheel when used properly. The warranty also covers race use and damage caused by rider error, as long as the wheel was used within its intended scope of application. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser, and proof of purchase is required!
NOTES: Due to their hookless profile, the Zipp 404 NSW wheels are only suitable for use with ETRTO-compliant tubeless tires. However, compatible tubeless tires can be used on the wheels without any issues with the included TPU tube (optimized for use with the wheel sensor).
