A versatile tire for those who don’t want to think about where they’re going
The Thundero can do it all. The center section of the tread, consisting of densely packed cube-shaped blocks, ensures speed and surprisingly quiet rolling. The three indented rows of blocks on the outer tread literally bite into any surface. This provides excellent grip even on loose terrain and allows you to make sharp turns without losing traction.
The wide tread and the durable, flexible Jubena layer covering the sidewalls protect the tire from stone damage. A puncture-resistant layer beneath the tread minimizes the risk of punctures and contributes to the tire’s overall reliability. The flexible casing construction, together with the soft tread compound, absorbs every bump and prevents the tire from vibrating unnecessarily. The Thundero is also durable and designed for high mileage.
SPC Silica Compound
This high-performance road racing rubber compound is used in nearly all TUFO tires. With a balanced mix of synthetic and natural rubbers combined with activated silica filler, the tire offers excellent grip in wet conditions and low rolling resistance.
Puncture Proof Ply
CRCA is a special composite material that incorporates high-modulus long aramid fibers into the carcass during manufacturing. CRCA increases puncture resistance and puncture protection, while also improving ride comfort.
HD Version
The HD version is made from a more robust fabric with a lower TPI rating. For the price of an additional 30 grams in weight and slightly higher rolling resistance compared to the non-HD version, puncture protection is significantly higher.
