New directional Shimano 105 | SLX chain for 11-speed drives. The adapted geometry of the chain links offers excellent switching performance in every situation. The sophisticated design offers little surface to attack even in mud and dirt.
In interaction with SIL-TEC, Shimano's new surface coating, a lot of friction is generated. When compared with simple coatings, SIL-TEC is a very special coating process. Thanks to the use of embedded fluorine particles, system performance is improved. The coating also reduces wear, driving noise and sliding friction, is dirt-repellent and abrasion-resistant, which significantly increases the durability of the components treated with SIL-Tec.
