THM CARBONES crank Clavicula SE Road Powermeter LK 110 2-fold
With a weight of only 320 grams, THM Carbones brings with the Clavicula SE power meter by far the lightest power measurement crank on the market. The basis is the proven, ultra-light Clavicula SE crank arms with an integrated carbon shaft. In the connection between crank arms and crankshaft, THM-Carbones is the only manufacturer who successfully uses a carbon-carbon connection. Due to the identical fiber structure of the external toothing of the shaft and the internal toothing of the crank arm, the relative movements between the teeth could be minimized. As a result, there is practically no wear and tear and there is no possibility of noise development at this point. The spider for the chainring mount is also made of carbon laminated to the crank arm. This leads to extreme lateral stiffness, for optimal switching behavior and excellent stiffness in the circumferential direction, for loss-free power transmission.
By integrating strain gauges and a small electronic unit in the crankshaft, the additional weight of the power meter unit is only 27 grams. The total power is calculated by measuring the power of the left leg, similar to other established one-sided power measurement systems. Since the performance deviations between the legs in all relevant performance areas are negligible in practice (apart from exceptional anatomical features), one-sided performance measurement systems are ideally suited for training control. In addition to power measurement, the power meter can measure cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness (left side). The values can be transmitted via ANT + or Bluetooth LE to all devices compatible with these transmission protocols. Firmware updates and settings can be made using the ZWATT smartphone app. The system is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. In order to be prepared for all weather conditions, the power meter is waterproof according to the IP67 standard.
