SRAM brake disc HS2 Rotor Rounded Edges 180 mm | Center lock
The HS2 brake discs were specially developed for the requirements of the MTB sector. Compared to the previous versions, both the braking performance and the heat dissipation have been improved. In addition, the HS2 discs tend to be less noisy. These properties were achieved through a new profile that improves the traction of the brake pads. The improved thermal management is achieved via 6 sunken spokes with a special heat-dissipating coating. In addition, the thickness of the friction ring has been increased from 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm compared to the SRAM Centerline discs. Thanks to these optimizations, the braking performance was increased by 7% and the disc temperature was reduced by 40 degrees in the Garda test. Rounded edges on the top of the disc minimize the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the World Cycling Union UCI. Another advantage is that they make it easier to install the wheel, because the rounded top prevents tilting in the brake caliper. The discs are available with diameters of 160 - 220 millimeters. Thanks to their high stability, the HS2 brake discs are also ideal for E-MTB use.
