With the SRAM Apex 1 you can experience a new simplicity on your road bike, gravel bike or trekking bike. Equipped with all the features of the SRAM Force 1 rear derailleur, the APEX 1 rear derailleur offers top performance at a low price for 1x11 drivetrains. With just one shift lever, you no longer need to worry about the right gear combination. You can simply concentrate on riding and shift through the 11 gears intuitively. In combination with the APEX 1 11-42 cassette, the 1-speed drivetrain is in no way inferior to a 2-speed drivetrain with 11-28 cassette in terms of gear range. This means that even the steepest climbs are no problem with the Apex 1 groupset.

Roller Bearing Clutch
The unique Roller Bearing Clutch ensures consistently high chain tension and a secure chain line even without a chain guide.

Exact Actuation
To enable fast and precise shifting, SRAM relies on the tried-and-tested 1:1 ratio of Bowden cable movement to derailleur deflection in the MTB groupsets.

X-Horizon
The parallelogram design of the rear derailleur limits all shifting movements to the horizontal axis. This reduces the force required for shifting and makes the shifting process much more precise.
The large offset of the upper derailleur pulley ensures constant chain spacing across all gears.

Cage Lock
Cage Lock technology makes it possible to lock the rear derailleur in a stretched position to make it easier to mount the rear wheel or chain.
