SHIMANO GRX rear derailleur RD-RX810 Shadow+ | 2x 11-speed
Gravel bikes are becoming increasingly popular among cyclists. The advantages are apparent. They have a more comfortable geometry than racing bikes, are also excellent off the beaten track and are suitable for longer journeys. However, conventional racing bike components have reached their limits with these bikes. That's why Shimano has developed its own shifting groups especially for this type of bike.
There is a risk of the chain jumping off the sprockets, especially on bumpy ground. This can sometimes lead to bad falls. This can be avoided with the Shimano Gravel rear derailleurs. A built-in stabilizer reliably prevents chain slap and keeps everything in place. This can also be switched off when moving on paved roads.
As usual from Shimano, shifting takes place with little finger force, quickly and precisely. Even under adverse conditions, the chain changes reliably from one sprocket to the other. In order to be able to optimally adjust the rear derailleur, it has its own adjustment screw, which can be used to adjust the tension of the Bowden cable.
Thanks to the compact Shadow design, the rear derailleur sits closer to the frame. This slim, low-profile design not only looks good, but also protects the rear derailleur from damage or branches getting in the way in the event of a fall.
