SHIMANO Deore XT Di2 Race complete groupset M8200 | 9 - 45 teeth | 180 / 160 mm
Since the Deore XT groupset revolutionized the mountain bike world in 1980, it has been synonymous with reliability, durability and functionality. Over the years, it has been continuously optimized and improved and is still regarded as a pioneer in the bicycle industry. Nevertheless, Shimano still managed to make a big leap forward with the Di2 M8200 version. Thanks to modern wireless control, perfect performance, 12-speed drivetrain and the usual outstanding build quality, there are no limits to your bike dreams and you will have a loyal companion for your adventures.
The Race groupset is designed for speed and minimal weight. Nothing is left to chance here; you can see the Japanese company's years of experience in every detail.
SHIMANO Deore XT Di2 shifters SW-M8250-IR 12-speed | I-SPEC EV
The advantages of electronic shifting are obvious. One push of a button and the chain shifts from one sprocket to another in a fraction of a second, regardless of the situation and without any delays or effort. The high-quality Deore XT shifters with Shimano's Rapid ES technology are also synonymous with precision. The defined pressure points of the rubberized buttons give you the secure feeling of being in control at all times, while their ergonomic arrangement and adjustment options ensure that you always have a firm grip on the handlebars when shifting gears.
The rear derailleur communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth®. This eliminates the need for complex cabling and makes mounting on an I-SPEC EV-compatible mount very easy. Of course, the Shimano E-Tube app can be used to personalize the switch assignments. Whether single shifting, multi-shifting or button swapping, the system adapts to your preferences. In addition, another small push button can be used to control a bike computer, for example .
SHIMANO Deore XT Di2 rear derailleur RD-M8250-GS 12-speed | medium-length cage
The advantages of electronic shifting are obvious. One push of a button and the chain shifts from one sprocket to another in a fraction of a second, regardless of the situation and without any delays or effort. The first-class Deore XT Di2 rear derailleur is also synonymous with precision.
In combination with the Hyperglide+ cassettes, you will experience unprecedented shifting performance with virtually no noise. The further developed Shadow chain stabilization concept, here called Shadow ES, enables a very slim design and prevents uncontrolled chain slap on rough trails.
The developers paid particular attention to robustness. The narrow, wedge-shaped design of the rear derailleur, which offers 23 mm more ground clearance, as well as the smooth and resistant surface, significantly minimizes the risk of direct impacts and allows impacting objects to literally slide off. However, if small rocks or a root get in the way, the cage can move inwards thanks to the RD protection function and automatically returns to its previous position. This happens so quickly that the rider is unaware of it and can continue at full speed. In addition, the closed pulleys reliably fend off twigs and branches.
In addition to all the positive visual and technical features, you will also be pleased with the low weight. This is achieved thanks to the clever and elegant choice of materials, with high-quality aluminum dominating.
SHIMANO Deore XT disc brake 2-piston BL-M8200 + BR-M8200
The performance of the Deore XT brakes will also fully convince you. Despite its low weight, the M8200 Cross Country version leaves nothing to be desired in terms of deceleration.
The new design catches the eye at first glance. The oil reservoir, which is parallel to the handlebars, and the new cable outlet ensure a clean and tidy look. The small contact point near the grip suppresses any possible twisting and thus creates a much more direct and sensitive braking feel. However, you will be impressed above all by the inner values. The pivot point is closer to the handlebars, which is why the path of the brake lever follows the arc of the finger more effectively and creates significantly more comfortable ergonomics. Thanks to the updated servo wave technology, very little manual force is still required and the grip width can of course still be individually adjusted without tools using a rotary wheel.
The sealing system of the brake system has also been modified and may only be filled with LV (low viscosity) mineral oil. The advantage of this is the higher performance of the brake across practically all temperature ranges, which means that you can also tackle longer downhill rides in a relaxed manner and pressure point fluctuations are a thing of the past. In addition, the response behavior of the individual components to each other is significantly accelerated.
The proven SM-BH90 hydraulic hose is used for the connection to the brake calliper. It is flexible enough to negotiate even tighter radii, but also transmits all deceleration commands without loss.
The power of the brake calliper is not visible from the outside. Its two-piece, yet filigree look blends in perfectly with any frame, yet the two pistons still have a good grip and bring you to a safe stop in any riding situation. Revised Brake Pads bring calm to the system and prevent annoying rattling even on bumpy roads. With their cooling fins, together with the design of the caliper and the high-quality aluminum, they guarantee rapid heat dissipation under continuous use.
SHIMANO Deore XT brake rotor RT-CL800 Center Lock
When developing the Deore XT CL800 brake rotors, Shimano engineers succeeded in preventing heat-related deformation of the rotors. As a result, they offer more reliable, more controllable braking performance and are quieter than ever before. Fortunately, the weight has remained at the same low level as the previous version.
Also on board is Shimano's Ice-Tech cooling technology, which ensures excellent heat dissipation and constant braking performance even on long, steep descents. The brake discs feature a three-layer sandwich construction with stainless steel sides and an aluminium core for significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 °C. In addition, the FREEZA aluminum cooling fins reduce the system temperature by a further 50 °C due to their increased surface area. The increased heat dissipation means that smaller brake discs can be fitted than usual. The service life of the Brake Pad is also significantly extended.
As is typical for Shimano, the rotors are suitable for Center-Lock mounts, which enable quick and easy installation, provide a secure hold and ensure a clean and compact look.
SHIMANO Deore XT cranks Direct Mount FC-M8200 1x12-speed
In the Deore XT crank, Shimano combines the ideal compromise between stiffness, durability and low weight. As a result, its range of applications is almost limitless and it will show its strengths in cross-country races, including enduro tours.
Its design is based on its big sister XTR and has a modern look. The Deore XT crank is also manufactured using Shimano's proven cold forging process, which significantly optimizes the use of materials while still generating a high level of stability. The hard surface also ensures good resistance to external influences or flying stones. The Hollowtech II shaft standard and the simple attachment of the chainring using a lockring have been retained. With the Q-factor of 176 mm, the crank arms do not touch the chainstays even with slightly wider rear triangles and are therefore compatible with practically any frame.
SHIMANO Deore XT chainring Direct Mount SM-CRM86 1x12-speed
The SM-CRM86 chainrings not only form a visual unit with the Deore XT cranks, they are also at the highest technical level. The partially closed design ensures unprecedented stiffness at the point of maximum power input and therefore unrestricted propulsion. Nevertheless, the high-quality aluminum has kept the weight low and improved durability.
Particular attention was paid to the shape of the individual teeth. With their special Dynamic-Chain-Engagement+ design, they guide the chain safely and very quietly even on rough trails and minimize wear.
The chainrings are secured with a lockring, which has the Shimano bottom bracket tool holder, making any maintenance work quick and easy.
SHIMANO Deore XT cassette CS-M8200 12-speed | 9-45 teeth
Smooth and precise shifting has always been a Shimano trademark. This has been further perfected with the Hyperglide+ cassettes. The shape of the individual teeth is designed in such a way that hardly any noise or vibrations are perceptible when changing to a larger sprocket or when shifting down. Nevertheless, the chain is held more reliably and any possible slipping is effectively prevented. In addition, the time required to change gear has been significantly reduced.
Shimano uses a mix of different materials in the construction of the cassette: while the 10 small sprockets with the lowest chain wrap and highest load are made of steel, the two largest sprockets and the spider are made of high-quality aluminum. This load-appropriate use of materials leads to even wear of the cassette and also extends the service life of the chain. It also saves a considerable amount of weight.
SHIMANO Deore XT | Ultegra | GRX chain CN-M8100 12-speed | 126 links with chain lock
Thanks to cut-outs on the inside of the plates, the chain harmonizes perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) Narrow-Wide tooth profiles of the Shimano 12-speed chainrings. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother chain run is not only noticeable when pedaling, but also manifests itself acoustically through a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain has been kept at the same level as the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
SHIMANO BT-DN320 battery for Di2 rear derailleur
A major innovation compared to the previous Di2 versions is the elimination of the central power supply. This means that cumbersome wiring is no longer necessary, which significantly simplifies installation.
The small 305 mAh battery is plugged directly into the rear derailleur. There it sits invisibly, protected against loss and supplies it inconspicuously with the necessary energy. Despite the waterproof compartment, it can be removed quickly and easily for charging.
SHIMANO EC-EN100 charger for BT-DN320 battery
This charger supplies the Shimano BT-DN320 battery with new energy. Thanks to the intelligent technology, this is done very gently and thus significantly extends the service life of the battery. The USB-C cable supplied is compatible with any smartphone charging plug.
