GARMIN pedals Rally RS210 watt measuring system | double-sided measurement | Shimano SPD SL
You live for training. Every morning you pedal as soon as the early light colors the sky, always with a clear goal: to become faster, stronger and more efficient. What you still lack is absolute certainty about your performance. Heart rate data alone is no longer enough for you. You want to know what really counts: the wattage you are pedaling.
The Garmin Rally wattage measurement system gives you exactly the precision you want. Simply mounted like ordinary pedals, they reliably measure power directly where it is generated, namely at the interface between shoe and bike. No more guesswork, just clear data for targeted training. Every session becomes measurable, every progress visible - and every lap brings you one step closer to your next personal record.
With the Rally 110 and 210 watt measurement pedal systems, you receive precise performance data for training at the highest level. No matter whether you're doing your intervals on a road bike at sunrise, riding gravel bikes after work or going full throttle on difficult terrain at the weekend: Garmin Rally offers you maximum flexibility. As it is a power meter in the form of pedals, you can simply use the smart Rally like normal pedals on different bikes. Once unscrewed, they can be mounted on the next bike in no time at all. The entire sensor system for power measurement is located in the pedal axle. This also allows you to quickly replace the pedal body if you want to slip into more comfortable shoes with a different cleat system for a day tour, for example. All you need is an Allen key.
In addition to power in watts, the pedals also record your cadence - with an accuracy of ±1 percent. The Rally 110 models work with a single-sided sensor in the left pedal axle, while the Rally 210 pedals measure on both sides and thus provide you with additional performance metrics. These include an analysis of the section of the pedal rotation in which you build up the most pressure (Power Phase), information on how far in or out on the pedal surface you are pedaling (Platform Center Offset), as well as an evaluation of your right/left distribution.
During long rides in the open air, the ambient conditions often change quickly: in the morning it is still cool, later the temperatures rise significantly. It is precisely such strong temperature fluctuations that can lead to a calibration drift in power meters, as a result of which the displayed watt values are no longer entirely accurate. To prevent this from happening to you, Garmin has developed the intelligent Pedal IQ function. It continuously monitors external factors and automatically reminds you when it makes sense to recalibrate. So you can rely on consistent measurement results even in changing conditions.
APPLICATION-ORIENTED DESIGN
The design is tailored to your discipline. XC pedal bodies made of full metal give you maximum robustness off-road, while the road pedal bodies are reinforced with carbon to save weight and provide you with the necessary stiffness for top performance. The clipless pedals are also available for different cleats: LOOK KEO, Shimano SPD-SL and Shimano SPD.
SIMPLE CHANGE
As a power meter in pedal form, the Rally can be fitted to different bikes just as easily as normal pedals. In addition, the pedal axle can be quickly and easily separated from the pedal body using an Allen key. This allows you to switch between road and MTB pedal bodies so that you can always use the right type of pedal for your activity. Additional pedal bodies are available individually or as a bundle.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Never change batteries again: a weatherproof lithium-ion battery is now built into the pedal axle, which can be conveniently charged via USB-C using the special Garmin charging clamp and offers you up to 90 hours of use. If you forget to charge it, the quick-charge function gives you up to 12 hours of runtime in just 15 minutes. For transportation to training camp, the practical travel mode protects the battery from complete discharge so that your Rally is ready for use as soon as you need it.
SMART AND CONNECTED
The Rally wattmeter pedal system can be connected to Edge bike computers, Garmin smartwatches and numerous compatible third-party products. Transmission takes place either via ANT+ or Bluetooth. This means you always have your measured performance values in view where you need them in real time during training. Software updates are automatically transferred from Garmin products to the Rally pedals without you having to worry about them.
RELIABLE MEASURED VALUES
With revised strain gauges and a new gyroscope, the Rally 110 & 210 models are very responsive and offer a measurement accuracy of ±1%. Thanks to the intelligent Pedal IQ function, they automatically recognize a calibration drift due to changing environmental conditions and show you on compatible Edge bike computers or Garmin smartwatches before or during an activity that a recalibration is necessary to ensure precise performance values at all times.
CYCLING DYNAMICS
Garmin Cycling Dynamics provides you with extended performance data about your pedaling. In addition to watts and cadence, you get insights into the right/left distribution, the power development during the pedal rotation (Power Phase) and the point of contact on the pedal surface (Platform Center Offset). This allows you to analyze your riding technique, identify imbalances and optimize your riding position.
GARMIN CONNECT APP
With the Garmin Connect app, you can calibrate your Rally wattmeter pedal system anytime and anywhere. It also serves as a control center for all your recorded data and fitness data. The app offers you detailed insights into your activity and health metrics and supports you in planning and implementing training programs. You can set goals, track your progress and access comprehensive analyses. In addition, the Garmin Connect Community allows you to interact with other athletes and take part in challenges that will motivate you even more. No matter which mobile operating system you use - the Garmin Connect app is available for both iOS and Android.
Garmin is a world leader in mobile navigation and satellite communications. Founded in 1989 with five employees in the United States, the company now has over 9,000 employees worldwide and has established itself through the development of innovative products in the field of navigation and communication. To date, over 43 million Garmin devices have been sold, underlining the trust placed in the brand. The name "Garmin" is made up of the first names of the two founders, Gary Burrell and Dr. Min Kao, and reflects the close partnership and innovative spirit that has characterized the company from the very beginning.
A milestone was the launch of the GPS 100 in 1991, a navigation system for boaters and pilots. It was the first of its kind and marked the beginning of Garmin's focus on GPS technology.
In 2013, Garmin launched its first pedal-shaped power meter, the Vector. The system was based on technology from MetriGear, which Garmin had acquired in 2010, and made it possible for the first time to measure power directly on the pedal axle. The Vector was particularly aimed at ambitious cyclists who wanted to record their training data even more precisely and comprehensively.
