CONNEX Chainring Checker
Connex knows what is important when it comes to chains. With over 130 years of experience in the manufacture of chains, they combine German engineering expertise with quality-conscious industrial manufacturing skills - always in search of the perfect chain. Because only those who are never satisfied set new standards.
A chainring checker is an indispensable tool for bicycle maintenance. Sooner or later, drive sprockets and chainrings wear out. Fresh chains then no longer engage properly with the worn teeth. In the worst case, the chain jumps under load and you end up pedaling into the void.
With the Connex wear gauge, you can see in seconds whether your old drive components are compatible with the new chain. Simply hold the tool to the tooth gap of your chainring or drive sprocket: If the wear gauge does not fit completely into the tooth gap, the teeth are still in order. If there is no more backlash, it is time to replace all components of your drivetrain when changing the chain.
CONNEX by Wippermann
The first chain-driven two-wheeler had just come onto the market when Wilhelm Wippermann began manufacturing bicycle components in Hagen. The historical trigger: when his son's bicycle chain broke again, he was convinced that it could be done better. He decides to manufacture a chain himself - and in 1893 lays the foundation for one of the oldest brands in the bicycle industry.
Today, the Wippermann company offers long-term prospects to over 300 employees. Every year, they consistently train junior staff in various areas. Some employees spend their entire working life at the medium-sized company from Germany. A real treasure trove of experience, which is also reflected in the quality of the products.
