Not least because of their company headquarters in the vicinity of the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the engineers at ZIPP have always been inspired by motorsport. This source of inspiration was also used for the new Zipp 3ZERO MOTO rims and the rims from motorcycling were taken as a model. In contrast to the trend of recent years, ZIPP's first rim for the MTB sector has a flat single-wall design. This design, called ZIPP Moto-Technology, allows the 3ZERO carbon rim to swivel slightly on the outside under high loads and to avoid the forces exerted by the ground. The advantages are obvious: bottom outs are much rarer when riding aggressively on rocky trails. This protects both the rim and the tire from damage.
The Moto technology also offers more grip when cornering at high speed, as a slight "tilting away" of the rim results in a better contact surface for the tire. The 3ZERO MOTO rim is also more flexible in the vertical direction than conventional rims and generates the feeling of additional suspension on the trail. This reduces the forces acting on the rider and conserves energy reserves on long days in the bike park. Convinced of the durability of the rims, ZIPP gives a lifetime guarantee. With its special properties and an inner width of 30 millimeters, the Moto rim is particularly aimed at E-MTB, Enduro and All-Mountain riders who want to really let it run downhill.
The wheels are built with Sapim CX-Sprint bladed spokes and ZIPP's own ZM2 hubs, which were developed in Germany. The new freewheel has 12 staggered pawls and 132 engagement points, which ensures a responsive acceleration with almost no idle travel. The improved seal design also increases the durability of the hubs. The wheels are approved for E-MTB use!

Zipp gives you a lifetime guarantee on your Zipp wheel if used properly. The warranty also includes racing and damage caused by rider error, as long as the wheel has been used for its intended purpose. The guarantee only applies to the original purchaser and proof of purchase is mandatory!
