The evolution of Srams X01 group is called Eagle. If you look at the details of the group, this name definitely makes sense. While you often had to make compromises with the 11-speed cassette with 10-42 teeth gradation of the XX1 cassette and either the fastest or the slowest gear was missing, you are with the 12-speed X01 Eagle cassette with its huge gradation of 10-50 teeth free in every terrain like an eagle. With the X01 Eagle, Sram manages to combine the advantages of 2-speed and 1-speed drives: a gear ratio range of 500%, which is on the level of 2-speed groups, in combination with the easier-to-use and lighter 1-speed Drive.

The X01 Eagle 12-speed twist shifters are technically at the highest level, visually a treat and haptically beyond any doubt. In addition to the metal indexing for rastering the gears, the triple ball bearing with a total of 120 balls ensures defined switching precision. This also makes the switching operations extremely low-friction and guarantees a long service life for the shifter.
Another practical feature is the integrated lock-on handles, which can simply be clicked into the shifter and also come with a lock ring on the outside. Thus, the handles are rock solid on the handlebars. If you want to save a few grams, the Twister can be equipped with any other, 100mm long handle.
