With the NX Eagle, SRAM presents a reasonably priced entry to its carefree 12-speed drives. The 455% transmission range covers all intended use from the level to the high mountains, without having to accept the extra weight and lower gearshift performance of a derailleur. The rugged cartridge makes the NX Eagle the only e-bike compatible 12-speed group.
The NX Eagle rear derailleur takes over numerous technologies of the XX1 Eagle Top Group with its one-of-a-kind X-Horizon design. The large offset of the upper blade roller causes a constant chain spacing and ensures exact switching operations. A lower gear roller with 14 teeth ensures a quiet and low-resistance running of the chain. The quieter chain run is supported by the optimized Type-3.0 cage damping, which effectively prevents the chain from hitting in rough terrain. The extremely high tension of the derailleur cage and X-Sync pulley tuned to the chain prevent the chain from jumping off even on the roughest trails.
