High-end technology at a low price. With the new GX Eagle AXS groupset, SRAM has created an affordable entry into the world of electronic and wireless shifting for you! The outstanding functionality and robust design make the components the perfect everyday companion for every area of use. In contrast to the high-end XX1 AXS rear derailleur, the cage of the GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur is made of steel instead of carbon. This reduces the price and makes the rear derailleur even more robust on the trail. In return, you have to accept an additional weight of almost 100 grams compared to the top version.
The proven overload clutch provides better protection for the rear derailleur in the event of a fall. It briefly decouples the rear derailleur under extreme loads so that it can avoid the load and the electric motor is protected from damage. However, the rear derailleur immediately jumps back into the engaged gear. As a positive side effect, the rear derailleur suspension and the derailleur hanger are also better protected in the event of a fall. The Roller Bearing Clutch 3.0 vibration damper in combination with the X-Sync 2 tooth profiles of the derailleur pulleys guarantees reliable chain movement.
As usual with SRAM AXS components, installation of the components is done in no time at all. No more tedious cable routing and you can conveniently adjust the gears to your needs using the SRAM AXS app on your smartphone. For rides in adverse conditions, the GX Eagle AXS components are both dustproof and waterproof (to IP69K standard). The battery status can be checked simply by pressing a button on the rear derailleur before setting off. With a charging time of just one hour, the bike is ready for use again in no time at all. What's more, the battery can be replaced in just one easy step.
