Description
SRAM Force 22 / Force 1 shift | Brake lever incl. Hydraulic disc brake | Flat mount
Disc brakes offer numerous advantages, which is why they can hardly be steered away in the MTB area. The advantages of racing bikes are not as clear, but thanks to increasingly powerful materials, they are becoming increasingly important. The braking performance and controllability in all weather conditions far exceeds rim brakes! In addition, the brake as a heat source is separated from the often sensitive tires. This can bring the decisive advantage, especially in borderline situations!
In addition, a disc brake system eliminates the braking surface on the rim. This not only promises visual advantages but also allows the rims to be made lighter without fear of stability. The reinforcement of the rim in the area of the braking flanks can be omitted!
The brake system works with DOT 5.1 brake fluid. This medium is strictly standardized and thus offers an extremely reliable function even at high temperatures caused by braking.
Over the years, various standards for brakes have become established. You can find an overview of this in our product images. Suitable brake discs and adapters must also be purchased!
