Description
SILCA Soft Hammer Dead Blow Hammer Titanium | black cerakote
Ultralight, 3d printed tool made from titanium.
Every professional mechanic knows that a hammer should not be missing in any tool box. This ballast is of course a bit of a problem when traveling, as suitcases should be as light as possible on the plane. At 122g, the hammer is lighter than a T-shirt and is therefore hardly noticeable in your luggage. The hammer is hollow 3d-printed from high-strength 6/4 titanium. The double-sided head has a striking surface made of solid titanium and one side made of hard rubber for use on sensitive parts. Then it is filled with a mixture of stainless steel and tungsten. This gives the hammer more impact energy and eliminates any kickback. According to Silca, the titanium used is of course a little less stable than good tool steel, but still significantly stronger than the aluminum otherwise used for travel tools. Small manufacturing tolerances, high-quality material and a processing that is second to none will fill you with joy when screwing your bike in the future.
