The slim design of the new 105 pedals not only offers improved aerodynamics compared to the predecessor PD-R5800, it also reduces the weight by 50 grams (per pair). The resistant surfaces of the carbon composite pedal body ensure a long service life. A wider cleat contact surface compared to the previous version ensures optimum power transmission. The pedals have a very long service life thanks to the elaborate sealing of the bearings in conjunction with the stainless nickel-chrome steel axle.
