Shimano has redesigned the carefree brake for the new 12-speed M8100 groupset.From cross-country to trail, the XT disc brake impresses with its reliability, low weight and high braking power.
Thanks to Servo Wave technology, the brake shines with a fast response and a very easy to control pressure point. Bleeding is child's play with one-way bleeding, but is generally only necessary when shortening the brake line. The new arrangement of the clamp frees up some space on the handlebars, for example for remote levers, and has also significantly increased stiffness.
The ergonomically shaped levers can be easily operated with one or two fingers and the reach can be adjusted without tools. The Shimano shift levers with I-Spec EV mount can be attached to the brake levers to save the additional clamp for the levers.
