SHIMANO Brake Pads Ice Tech H03A Resin with cooling fins

Shimano original resin pads with high braking power for maximum power on your Shimano disc brake. Resin coverings reduce noise when braking in both dry and wet conditions. Since material research can not outsmart physics, there is of course also a disadvantage - the wear of the resin-based coatings is higher and the temperature stability is limited, but usually increases the life of your brake discs.
If you need more braking power, then we recommend the appropriate Shimano metal brake pads.

Resin - never heard, what is it? Quite simply, literally translated from English, it means resin. Here in connection with brake pads, of course, a synthetic resin (or syntethisches resin).

Shimano uses carrier plates with additional aluminum cooling ribs for these brake pads, which dissipate the heat generated during braking and significantly reduce the tendency to overheat the brake system! The border area can be shifted significantly.
