Newmen's many years of experience in wheel building can already be seen on the rim. The flawless workmanship of the high-quality UD fibers guarantees long-lasting durability and first-class driving characteristics. Similar to MTB rims, the gravel version also has a hookless profile. The biggest advantage of this design is the increased impact resistance of the rim flange without increasing the weight. This makes it possible to drive with little air pressure, which significantly improves grip and comfort. The rim mainly contributes to the low weight of the wheel. Weighing just over 300 g, it almost acts like a spring and provides a lot of fun when accelerating and going uphill.
Newmen's own Fade R hubs rotate in the center. Equipped with high-quality, double-sealed industrial bearings, they ensure longevity under all conditions. In contrast to the already proven FADE Road hubs, this version has been reinforced on the inside. This means that the forces that occur can be better compensated and it is even approved for use on e-gravel bikes. The slim and subtle design remains on the outside, only the engraved R gives an indication of the innovations. Newmen also uses a special grease that has a 25% higher water absorption capacity and a very high bleeding temperature and protects the bearings from premature wear and corrosion.
All Newmen hubs are developed and produced in Germany. This means that the manufacturing process can be optimized at any time and consistently high quality is guaranteed.
