MICHE 28" Deva RD 52 Wheel Set | chrome
The Deva RD wheels are the result of over three decades of development expertise and analysis of Miche’s best wheels. They are the first wheels in Miche’s lineup to be developed with Vonoa carbon spokes. The Deva RD was developed using Miche’s proprietary formula—an engineering protocol that combines instrumented measurements, high-resolution CFD simulations, and targeted wind tunnel tests to validate every design decision. This approach focused on aerodynamics and material behavior with a clear goal: to develop the fastest and lightest Miche wheel to date.
52-millimeter hooked carbon rims
The carbon structure, made from T700, T800, and T1000 fibers with a matte UD finish and a 23 mm wide, tubeless-ready inner rim width, ensures a smooth, stable, and comfortable ride, while the hooked design guarantees maximum safety. The 52-millimeter-high rim profile is specifically designed to combine control, smoothness, and aerodynamic efficiency. A wider front profile reduces drag, while the slimmer rear profile offers the optimal balance between weight and aerodynamics, thereby improving performance under all conditions.
Vonoa Carbon Spokes
For the first time, Miche is using Vonoa carbon spokes to set new standards in weight and stiffness. The aerodynamic geometry of the spokes, with a cross-section of 4×1 millimeter, fits seamlessly into the rim. Recessed spoke nipples reduce additional turbulence and optimize airflow.
2:1 Spoke Pattern
The spoke pattern of 14+7 at the front and rear, along with the reduction in the number of spokes from 24 to 21, creates an ideal balance of weight, responsiveness, control, and steering precision. This is made possible by the exceptional stiffness of the carbon spokes. The result: lower rotating mass, greater stability under lateral loads, and a more direct riding feel.
Deva RD Hubs
The Deva RD hubs are machined from 7075 T6 aluminum on high-precision CNC machines. Their design is specifically tailored for the integration of carbon spokes and ensures high stiffness as well as aerodynamic continuity. On the front wheel, a special flange geometry with an increased spread angle provides greater lateral stiffness and more precise steering. On the rear wheel, the ratchet freewheel with 30 detent points ensures fast and reliable power transfer. Miche’s Aeroblade technology, manufactured using a 3D
printing process using carbon-filled resin, stabilizes spoke alignment and protects the system from contaminants. A micrometric adjustment mechanism allows for precise fine-tuning of the spoke tension and ensures optimal smoothness under all conditions.
CeramicSpeed Ball Bearings
In collaboration with CeramicSpeed, Miche relies on double-sealed ceramic bearings. The Danish company’s bearings have been optimized to minimize all factors affecting rolling resistance—from the seals, balls, and raceways to manufacturing quality, tolerances, and lubricant properties.
Outstanding Aerodynamics
The Deva RD was developed with one uncompromising goal: to place aerodynamics at the center of every design decision. Every surface, every proportion, and every technical solution was engineered to minimize overall aerodynamic drag. CFD analyses allowed for the evaluation of airflow, stability, and efficiency under realistic conditions. The results were subsequently validated in the GST wind tunnel and further refined to ensure optimal profiles and stable aerodynamic performance at various angles of attack.
