MAXXIS Ardent 29 x 2.40 Dual Compound TR EXO Tanwall tires
An aggressive tread pattern on a high-volume carcass, designed for good traction but fast enough for racers.
Large block-shaped shoulder lugs bite into fast corners with many edges. The center of the tread has bevelled lugs to minimize rolling resistance. The Ardent with Skinwall fulfills all wishes for a fast tire from touring to all-mountain and enduro to freeriding.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions right from the first inflation and with little liquid. Like tires from other manufacturers, "normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can also be mounted tubeless with sealant, as the carcass fabric is very tight. However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless mounting of other models is at your own risk.
Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.
EXO sidewall protection
This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very densely woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
DualCompound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
