KCNC presents a lightweight cassette for modern 12-speed MTB drives. The motto is big, not sloppy, which is why the cassette is CNC-milled in a very complex process. The lightness of the aluminum is perfectly exploited, while the heavily loaded lower sprockets are made of much more wear-resistant and durable steel. But the cassette not only convinces with the cleverly used combination of materials, the quality and workmanship also speak for themselves. In contrast to other lightweight cassettes, the sprockets are optimized for perfect shifting processes with shift gates. The bandwidth of the cassette is extremely high at 578% and the 325g weight (manufacturer information) helps to make your bike even lighter.
Switching optimization with asymmetrical rear derailleur wheels
SRAM's Eagle rear derailleurs are optimized for cassettes with a spread of 10 to 50 teeth. In order to continue to provide you with top-level shifting performance with the extremely high bandwidth of the cassette, KCNC has developed adjustable derailleur rollers for the upper position. These have three eccentric mount and enable mounting with an offset of 3 mm; 4mm or 5mm. With the offset and the selectable number of teeth, you can compensate for manufacturer-specific length differences on the derailleur hanger and thus continue to shift smoothly into the smallest and largest sprocket.
Danger!
With its range of 9-52 teeth, the cassette fully exploits the capacity of the rear derailleur. In older derailleurs, which are designed for cassettes from 10-50 teeth, the upper derailleur roller must be replaced with an asymmetric derailleur roller from KCNC for the best possible shifting processes. These are available in our shop .
Adjusting the rear derailleur requires a derailleur hanger that is precisely aligned. The user should have very good skills in adjusting the circuit.
Hints:
For technical reasons, the cassette is not compatible with the Newmen GEN1, Syntace and Pi Rope XD freewheels! Furthermore, the cassette is not compatible with AXS rear derailleurs.
This cassette is a lightweight product. It is NOT approved for use with e-bike drives or SRAM AXS groupsets. In this case, KCNC does not assume any warranty service in the event of damage!
