Stable, precise and incredibly light. With the HyperBoost3 hubs, the Italian lightweight construction specialists are raising the bar even higher.
With a weight of 222 grams, the HyperBoost3 hub set is one of the lightest pairs of hubs that money can currently buy. Elaborate computer simulations, countless prototypes and a long test phase under the toughest conditions guarantee you a long service life.
Despite their low weight, hubs are approved for enduro use with a good riding style. The freehub mechanism has also been optimized. The toothed pulley in the hub body has lost 20% in weight and sits in a newly developed toothing. In addition to an improved engagement speed when starting off, this also reduces resistance when rolling. The service life and wear have also been optimized by these changes compared to the predecessor. Those who prefer a harder ride can install larger 6903 2RS bearings on the disc sides of the front and rear hubs. Although this increases the weight by 8 grams per hub, the hubs are significantly more durable and more resilient.
As you would expect from Extralite, the hubs are perfectly finished. Minimal tolerances and high-quality materials leave no doubt as to the quality and stability of these works of art. The silver hub bodies rotate on 6803 2RS deep groove ball bearings around the multi-butted axles. O-rings on each side provide additional protection against water and dirt, and you can adjust the bearing play perfectly at any time using micro-turners to ensure a long service life for your bearings.
In addition to the organic oversized design, the modern concept of the hubs also includes the spoke flanges, which are designed for straight-pull spokes. The straight spokes ensure a straighter power flow and the elimination of the bent spoke head means one less potential weak point in the wheel.

The spur gear toothing has 36 teeth. This results in a maximum free travel of 10° when starting off.
