DT Swiss hubs have a reputation for being virtually indestructible. Thanks to high-quality industrial bearings made of stainless steel and effective seals, they are actually much more resistant than most competitors on the market. Simply unpack, install in the bike and forget about it. The hubs are also designed to be extremely user-friendly, so no bearing play needs to be adjusted and maintenance intervals are only necessary at long intervals, if at all. Should a service be necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, they can be disassembled and serviced within a few minutes without special tools thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
The hybrid version of the 350 rear hub has been specially developed for the high loads on e-bikes. It is also the best choice for expedition bikes and for riders who want a virtually indestructible wheelset. Compared to the standard version, it has an oversized housing, a heavy-duty axle and extra reinforced spoke holes that accommodate spokes with a diameter of 2.34 mm. Enlarged bearings also ensure greater robustness and durability. The proven DT-Swiss toothed pulley freehub is also made of hardened steel in the hybrid hub and has been extended to 24 teeth for a more direct response. Thanks to these adjustments, the hub can better digest the higher torques of the e-bike drives. Compared to the 240s hybrid hub, some weight-optimized components have been omitted from the 350 in favour of an extremely good price-performance ratio.
