Description
CARBON-TI rear hub X-Hub Road SP Rear XDR for quick release | Freehub SRAM XDR
Products from Carbon-Ti stand for lightweight construction without carelessness and compromises in rigidity. After all, all parts are driven and tested in the World Cup. This guarantees the end user high quality and reliability. All Carbon-Ti hubs are developed and produced in Italy.
The hub body of the X-Hub Road SP rear hub is CNC-milled and revolves around a multi-butted aluminum axle. With a diameter of 17 mm, this brings a decent stiffness to the hub. Four high-quality, double-sealed ball bearings are installed, which ensure a permanently silky smooth run. The axle play can easily be adjusted by hand from the outside. The new pre-load adjustment ring is now easier to use.
The freewheel engages via four pawls, each with three teeth, in a 56-tooth titanium ring in order to be able to withstand the acceleration of performance-oriented drivers. With a weight of approx. 160g, the X-Hub is one of the lightest rear wheel hubs on the market.
The hub is designed for straight pull spokes. These can generate a little more rigidity. But the bigger advantage lies elsewhere. The weak point of a bent spoke is the head with its bend. When a spoke breaks, it's usually at this point. Especially spokes do not have this weak point.
