Named after a wind in the Mediterranean, the Levante wheelset is the ideal complement to the Ekar Gravel component group. Designed for maximum speed, performance and durability, it is stiff enough for fast descents and light enough for fast uphills.
The newly developed H.U.L.C. (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) rims are specially designed for off-road use. This technology is the result of extensive research in which the use of the carbon fiber-binder resin mixture was extensively tested. The large inner width of 25 millimetres provides very good support for tires up to 76 mm wide and integrates them aerodynamically into the rim profile. The rim flanges are also designed to create an almost seamless, aerodynamic transition between tire and rim. Nevertheless, small mini-hooks have been retained to keep the tire securely on the rim even at very low air pressures in tubeless use. And the unperforated rim base means there is no need for additional rim tape.
To extend the durability of the entire wheelset, the rims have an asymmetrical cross-section, which enables more even spoke angles, which in turn allows the spoke tension between the drive and non-drive side to be brought closer together and the loads to be distributed more evenly.
All H.U.L.C. rims are given an incomparably smooth mirror surface, the C-Lux finish, during the production process and therefore require no further finishing. This saves costs and also unnecessary ballast by eliminating the need for paint. The decor has been lasered and will therefore inspire you forever. It also makes maintenance easier.
The beautiful hubs are of equally high quality. Also manufactured by Campagnolo, they will accompany you for thousands of kilometers. The modern straight-pull design reduces the risk of broken spokes by eliminating the weak point in the curve. Durability is guaranteed above all by the high-quality conical bearings. They can be readjusted as required, which significantly reduces the amount of maintenance required. They can even be replaced with the legendary Campagnolo CULT ceramic bearings as an option.
