With the Record 13 disc brakes, Campagnolo also demonstrates just how much control is possible with a finely tuned braking system. The brake caliper, crafted from forged aluminum, combines high stiffness with low weight and, with its 22-mm pistons, delivers powerful, smooth, and finely modulated braking performance under varying conditions. An optimized brake pad return system reduces unwanted friction after releasing the lever and contributes to a direct, light riding feel.
For reliable deceleration in everyday riding and on long descents, the brake caliper comes standard with organic brake pads. Their large friction surface promotes better heat dissipation and reduces the tendency for glazing, while noise-dampening vanes minimize vibrations and braking noise. An integrated wear indicator makes it easy to check the condition of the pads; additionally, a sintered pad version is available for wet conditions or low temperatures.
