WOLFTOOTH Adapter RoadLink Aluminum
A small adapter with a big impact. With the Wolftooth Roadlink it is possible to drive a wide-range cassette with a wider transmission span with Shimano road bike rear derailleurs. The Roadlink is simply mounted between derailleur hanger and rear derailleur and thus moves the rear derailleur further down. This prevents the upper pulley on the largest sprocket from being too close to the cassette. Particularly interesting is the road link for the conversion to 1-speed drive on cyclocross or racing bikes. With a wider translation on the cassette, the missing second chainring can be compensated. But even on 2-speed drives, the Roadlink can be useful for dealing with extreme angle to have a lifebuoy on the wheel with an 11-36 or 11-40 cartridge.
NOTE: For 2-speed drives, at least a medium-length rear derailleur cage must be installed and, in addition, the maximum capacity of the rear derailleur must be observed.
Possible combinations ( 10-speed and 11-speed cassette):
11-32: not required (rear derailleur works without roadlink)
11-34: 1-fold and 2-fold drive
11-36: 1-speed and 2-speed drive
11-40: 1-fold and 2-fold drive
11-42: not supported
10-42: is not supported
