The Silca Nastro Cuscino Band was particularly convincing with its outstanding damping and grip properties. The band was inspired by the evolution of running shoes and Formula 1 tires. Silca has been tinkering and researching in the area of rolling resistance and damping in order to significantly improve handlebar tapes with new materials. With a composite material made of SILCAthan, SILCAIon and viscoelastic 3M adhesive instead of the extruded foam otherwise used, the tape can be optimized for various purposes. The result: With a softer, more comfortable feel, better grip, increased vibration dampening and 3-5 times greater durability, Silca's development has all the advantages without making compromises.
For you, this means that with the Nastro Cuscino you get a 3.75 mm thick handlebar tape, which has the damping and comfort of standard 5 mm thick handlebar tape. This makes the handlebar tape particularly suitable for gravel and cyclocross bikes. The softly textured surface and printed silicone details feel great and offer excellent grip and control. In nice weather and also in the most adverse circumstances. And because a clean wrap is at least as important as a good tape, the Cuscino also includes the self-adhesive "Butterfly Clamp Wrap" to cover the critical areas around the brake levers.
