ROTOR crank arms ALDHU carbon for racing bikes
With the ALDHU Carbon, ROTOR is bringing the lightest crank in the company's history to the market. The name is an abbreviation for the legendary Tour de France climb from Alpe d'Huez, on which Carlos Sastre laid the foundation for the overall Tour victory in 2008 with Rotor Q-Rings and thus gave ROTOR one of the greatest victories in the company's history.
Four years of development resulted in a modular crank system, but with a significantly lower weight and a significant increase in rigidity. The crank arms of the ALDHU Carbon undercut the aluminum version by a whopping 100g. This is made possible by the optimal use of high-end carbon fibers. In addition, the absolute vertical and horizontal stiffness of the cranks increased by 11% and 36% respectively. ROTOR uses the specially developed TWIN LEG TECHNOLOGY to keep power losses when pedaling due to axle torsion to a minimum. This describes the perfect interaction of crank arms and the stable 30 mm crankshaft which, with the patented interface, enables easy assembly and yet a secure fit.
The new crank, made of high-end carbon with a fantastic finish, also looks a lot better, making it an unmistakable piece of jewelry on every bike.
The ALDHU crank system has a modular structure for the greatest possible adaptability. chain line for standard and offset configurations can be adapted via 2 different waves. Whether ROTOR INspider power meter, various 110 millimeter 4-hole spiders, ROTOR's direct mount chainring combinations or single direct-mount chainrings, countless combination options are open to the user. For the optimal setting of the oval ROTOR Q-Rings chainrings, the OCP-Mount System (Optimum-Chainring-Position) has been further refined. Using a combination of different positions of the crank arms on the crankshaft and a fine-grained spider mount, the position of the chainrings can be optimally adjusted in 1-degree steps.
The crank arms can be used with the matching modular ALDHU aluminum crank axles with an outer diameter of 30 mm (optional accessory) with a variety of corresponding inner bearings in frames with PF30, BSA, BBright (Cervélo) and BB30 bottom bracket housings.
