PRO Discover Aero Carbon 31.8 mm handlebars

Just like the rapid development of gravel sports, gravel races are also getting faster and faster. Average speeds of well over 30 km/h are no longer the exception, but the rule. PRO has taken this development into account with the Discover Aero handlebars. Its aerodynamically optimized wing profile helps you to save a few watts at high speeds. In addition, the 4° downward sloping top bar and the wide contact surfaces at the transition to the STIs help you to adopt a comfortable aerodynamic position when gripping the hoods. Another advantage of the wide top link profile is the visually perfect integration of the STIs, especially with Shimano GRX shifting brake levers. For a perfect grip, the 17 mm thin top bar was designed so that it can be completely wrapped with bar tape and the bar tape forms a seamless transition with the stem clamping area. With its 12° flare and a drop of just 100 millimetres, the Discover Aero gives you plenty of control in the compact drops on technical descents.
The combination of unidirectional T700 carbon fibers and PRO's patented Dyneema fibers ensures low weight and sufficient flex on rough gravel sections. In order to meet the tough demands of gravel use, PRO has developed an adapted test protocol for its gravel components, according to which the components are tested with significantly higher forces than the components for road bike use.The external cable ducts under the handlebars enable clean cable routing, which also allow hidden cable routing through the stem or under the stem for integrated headsets. It is also possible to mount a Di2 distributor in the handlebar end.

Note: The stem clamps must have a minimum distance (inside) of 30 millimetres on the underside and may only have a maximum distance (outside) of 48 millimetres.
