MAXXIS Minion DHR II 27.5 x 2.50 WT MaxxTerra TR Downhill tire
With a completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve the transition when turning into corners. Some of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in under hard braking and help to keep the bike under control.
Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special casing construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of these TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions right from the first inflation and with little liquid.
Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.
MaxxTerra
MaxxTerra is the optimum rubber compound for Maxxis Enduro and Freeride tires and impresses with its ease of movement uphill, excellent grip downhill and even longer service life.
Downhill Casing (DH)
The Maxxis Downhill tires are used in exactly the same construction by the most successful DH riders. Double 60TPI carcass plies and butyl inserts in the sidewall above the tire bead are the basis of the tires that have won the most downhill races in recent years.
