EXTRALITE Wheelset 28" CyberDisc 327C with BERD Textile Spokes
The CyberDisc 327C from Extralite is a road wheelset in a class of its own! Designed for competition, the 889g lightweight wheels offer impressive acceleration and are made for the steepest ramps in the race profile. The rims are made of special high-performance fibers from Toray. The leading manufacturer of high-quality carbon fibers forms the basis for many exciting lightweights on the market. Very light Hi-Rigidity Fiber is used, which is characterized by exceptional stiffness and stability. The asymmetrical arrangement of the spoke holes achieves a more even spoke tension, which increases the reliability of the wheelset and minimizes maintenance. The generous inner width and maximum outer width of the rims are optimized for tires from 25 to 32 millimetres and integrate them aerodynamically on the rim. The wheelset is ideal for tubeless use to take full advantage of the improved puncture protection and rolling resistance properties of modern tubeless tires.
CyberHub SPD 3 hubs
The ultra-light Extralite CyberHub SPD 3 hubs are an Italian masterpiece. The one-piece hub body is precisely manufactured from high-strength 7075TX aluminum using state-of-the-art CNC technology. 7075TX is a variant of the 7075 aluminum alloy, which is mainly used in the aerospace industry due to its particular hardness and resistance. The alloy offers a perfect combination of low weight and high strength, making it ideal for critical applications where high structural integrity is required. At the center of the hub, double-sealed stainless steel bearings rotate on a 17 millimeter thick aluminum axle. The axial play can be precisely fine-tuned via a micro-tuner to prevent unwanted movement and vibrations. The CyberHub hubs have been specially developed for use with straight pull spokes. The advantages are a better distribution of the loads from the disc brake, a stiffer wheel and a minimization of the risk of breakage. A pawl freewheel provides propulsion. Two pawls engage in a titanium ring with 32 engagement points. This reduces the idle travel and at the same time minimizes wear.
BERD Polylight
Ridden by world champions, Berd PolyLight spokes are ideal for all cycling disciplines. From road to gravel to MTB, the spokes are suitable for every conceivable application. They are made from an advanced polymer, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The material has a 15 times better weight/strength ratio compared to conventional steel spokes.
