Until now, road cyclists or gravel bikers with a 12 mm thru axle on the front wheel had to rely on battery-powered lights. Although these also have enormous lighting power, it quickly became dark when the power supply stopped. SON has also been able to help these cyclists. Not only is the hub dynamo compatible with thru axles, it can also accommodate 6-hole brake discs.
The inside of the dynamo can be seen as a reference in this area. The claw pole generator works absolutely inconspicuously and hardly causes any noticeable rolling resistance during operation or idling. Thanks to a unique pressure equalization system and high-quality SKF deep groove ball bearings sealed on both sides, moisture has no chance of penetrating.In addition, the spoke holes have been drilled in such a way that the spokes have an optimum fit and it will not be necessary to re-center the wheel over a longer period of time.
