In this case, the derailleur hanger is for a Shimano Direct Mount rear derailleur. ATTENTION, there are also direct mount rear derailleurs from Shimano with a connecting piece (B-link), this B-link is not required for this derailleur hanger. This version from Silca, which is made of titanium and manufactured using a 3D printing process, is also up to 12 times stiffer than a conventional rear derailleur and 4-10g lighter. The increased stiffness not only improves the shifting performance of mechanical shifters, it also benefits electronic shifters even more. Should a fall or collision be too violent, the derailleur hanger breaks intentionally at a defined point to protect the frame.
