A rear light that keeps your eyes and ears open because it watches the traffic. That is Sigma's claim with the Reco 80 rear light. A radar is integrated into the rear light, which can detect up to 8 cars behind you. The radar detects up to 140 m behind you and detects approaching cars at a beam angle of 30° per side. This information is shown on the display via the rear light's connectivity with your navigation device. So you can always see what is happening behind you and your eyes are always focused on the road ahead. There is also an acoustic warning to shift your focus to the traffic behind you only when necessary.
The connection to the navigation device works via ANT+, so communication is also possible with navigation devices that are not in the Sigma cosmos.
The already familiar Link function enables coupling with a compatible Link front light and can then be controlled from the cockpit.

So you have found the perfect addition to your Sigma headlight, but it is also ideal as a stand-alone rear light for city traffic. Quick and easy to fit, the rear light can be seen from up to 500 m and the lateral visibility is 220°. These two factors ensure a high level of safety for you. In order to increase this safety to the maximum, visual communication has been chosen, as the rear light has a brake function. This signals to the person behind you that you are slowing down. This type of communication in road traffic is particularly important if there are no cycle paths, as the difference in speed between cars and bikes can be considerable. In the dark and in bad weather, it is much more difficult to perceive a cyclist's deceleration. A clear signal, as in a car, in the form of a brake light increases your safety enormously. But what happens in the event of emergency braking? An emergency brake light is also on board.
With a light duration of up to 15 hours, there is sufficient battery capacity. An LED indicates the charge status. Green covers the percentage range from 100 % to 20 %, from 19 % the LED lights up red.
