The wait is over. Shimano's road bike groupset for the ambitious hobby cyclist is finally available with a contemporary 12-speed drivetrain. And at an unspeakably favorable price-performance ratio. Nevertheless, no compromises have been made in terms of durability and functionality and you can see the Japanese company's many years of experience in every detail. Technically, the new 105 groupset is similar to its big sisters Dura-Ace and Ultegra. Many features have been adopted, such as the 12-speed drivetrain, which enables a wider gear range and makes long climbs very comfortable even for less experienced riders. Although the slightly simpler choice of materials marginally increases the weight, you don't have to make any compromises in terms of functionality.

The new ST-R7120 shift/brake levers allow fast and precise shifting. This is ensured by the redesigned internal shifting unit of the Dual Control shifters. The slim and compact brake levers not only save weight, but are also easier to reach thanks to their more comfortable shape and require less effort when decelerating. In addition, the grip width can of course be individually adjusted and maintenance work, such as bleeding, does not pose any major problems for a reasonably handy biker.
