The Pirelli Scorpion XC R is a special mountain bike rear tire. It delivers top performance on hard and loose surfaces in both wet and dry weather conditions. The tread pattern consists of medium length lugs arranged in a medium spacing pattern. The rubber compound ensures a service life that is in no way inferior to that of a front tire. It is also perfectly matched for mounting on modern wheels with large rim widths.

Unique to PIRELLI Scorpion mountain bike tires is a continuous layer of Smart Grip Compound. The advantage of this is that the high performance of the lugs is maintained even after a long period of use. This ensures uncompromising grip, both in dry and wet conditions.
120 TPI TLR carcass
The Scorpion XC R tires are equipped with a flexible 120 TPI tubeless-ready carcass. It offers optimum stability and grip even at low tire pressure. In addition, the dense and flexible fabric ensures very good puncture protection.
ProWall construction
The ProWall sidewall reinforcement technology ensures increased puncture protection and improved support and stability at low air pressures. An additional layer of nylon fabric on the sidewalls provides additional protection and improves cornering stability.
