When conditions get wet and muddy, this XC competition tire with its ultra-light design is the ideal choice. Its narrow profile enables effortless progress through thick mud and ensures reliable grip. The advanced MaxxSpeed compound also ensures significantly reduced rolling resistance and excellent grip on wet roots and rocks. This tire is the perfect choice for demanding off-road conditions.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.
Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used.
EXO Protection
This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very densely woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
MaxxSpeed
The brand new MaxxSpeed compound is undoubtedly one of the most advanced compounds for XC racing. This high-performance silica compound significantly reduces rolling resistance while improving grip on wet surfaces. Compared to the 3C MaxxSpeed, the laboratory test shows a remarkable reduction in rolling resistance of around 25 % (with unchanged tread, tire structure and air pressure). During a 90-minute race, this could theoretically mean a time saving of up to one minute.
