MAXXIS Tire Minion DHR II 29 x 2.40 WT 3C MaxxTerra TR Downhill | E50
Are you ready for the next descent...
Contrary to the catchy name, it's not a ride on a cannonball - with its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity rides.
With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even more cornering hold, it has great traction there. The center knobs are beveled to allow better acceleration and braking. The cut profile in the longitudinal direction makes turning into high-speed curves child's play.
Manufacturer's Notes: Maxxis strongly discourages the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been shown to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months. Maxxis recommends using Tire Plasma tire sealant.
Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and get a too square shape on wide rims and thus a less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an internal rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an internal dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
tube tires have many advantages: you can drive with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube , the risk of punctures is also reduced. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of the Maxxis TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tube . As a result, tube installation is successful for all rims with standard dimensions the first time you pump it up and with little liquid.
Dual ply casing
Two gathered layers of fabric are wrapped around bead cores. This results in an extremely stable and safe carcass, which is particularly important when going downhill. There are four layers on the side walls and even six layers on the treads.
3C MaxxTerra
3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tires. Ease of movement uphill and the best grip downhill characterize this mixture as well as a long service life.
E-Bike Ready | E50
Maxxis tires with the e-bike logo meet and exceed the requirements of the ECE-R75 standard and are ideally suited for use on fast e-bikes.
