MAXXIS tire Minion DHR II 27.5 x 2.40 WT 3C MaxxTerra TR Downhill | E50

With a completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it has extreme cornering grip. The center lugs have beveled lugs for better acceleration. Notches on the lugs improve the transition when turning into corners. Some of the center lugs have a paddle shape, they dig in during hard braking and help to keep the bike under control.

Note from the manufacturer: Maxxis strongly advises against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months, depending on the amount used. Maxxis recommends the use of Tire Plasma tire sealant.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have too angular a shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of Maxxis TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions right from the first inflation and with little liquid.

Downhill Casing (DH)
The Maxxis downhill tires are used in exactly the same construction by the most successful DH riders. Double 60TPI carcass plies and butyl inserts in the sidewall above the tire bead are the basis of the tires that have won the most downhill races in recent years.

3C MaxxTerra
3C MaxxTerra is the optimum three-ply rubber compound for our Enduro and Freeride tires. This compound is characterized by its uphill smoothness and excellent downhill grip as well as its long service life.

E-Bike Ready | E50
Maxxis tires with the e-bike logo meet and exceed the requirements of the ECE-R75 standard and are ideally suited for use on fast e-bikes.
