The Gravity pedals are your secret weapon for demanding situations. Built for tough terrain, they give you grip and unparalleled control when you need it. The pedal body is CNC-milled from a block of 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum to exacting tolerances. The result is a very stable, yet lightweight pedal. The axle has been reinforced to absorb even the hardest landings. The magnet has been positioned in front of the axle to enable a central foot position. This stance position improves your balance, stability and control. The use of the patented magnetic mechanism allows you to release your foot from the pedal safely, quickly and easily at any time. The risk of falling and injury is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with fixed connections (e.g. clipless pedal system) - and your head remains free for enjoyable biking without fear.
The magped Gravity pedal with 200N magnet is recommended for riders from 75kg.
Round pedal stroke
The magped pedal enables a well-rounded pedal stroke, as both the extensor (70%) and flexor (30%) muscles of the leg muscles are used evenly. This makes even longer bike tours a pure pleasure.
Weight
The magped pedal is a modern and high-quality flat pedal made of lightweight CNC milled aluminum and a CrMo or titanium spindle. Despite the additional magnet system, all magped pedals are no heavier than comparable high-end pedals.
Position
The pedal allows a slight rotation of the shoe and thus protects the joints when pedaling. The position can also be varied forwards and backwards without changing the traction force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both ascents and descents.
Traction force
The shoe is held magnetically on the pedal with up to 18 kg of traction (150er magnet). The traction force acts mainly vertically and lateral release from the pedal is possible with almost no noticeable resistance. However, quick and easy release in critical situations directly upwards is also no problem.
Cleat
The cleat made of rust-treated special steel can be fitted to any SPD-compatible cycling shoe with 2 screws in just a few minutes. Unlike other systems, dirt is no problem for the magped. In addition, the risk of tripping when walking is reduced and walking comfort is greatly improved. The cleats also make it possible to click them onto the pedal in exactly the same position every time.
Technology
The magped pedal is equipped with 3 high-quality, sealed industrial ball bearings. The pins of the pedal can be adjusted and changed if necessary. The height of the neodymium high-performance magnet can be adjusted via a special integrated polymer suspension.
