The name Kool-Stop has always been associated with excellent braking and low wear. Thanks to these properties, the pads from Oregon/USA are among the top retrofit brake pads and can even increase the performance of your brakes.

The Aero Kool rubbers are made from organic materials and bonded with synthetic resin. In order to improve braking properties and reduce abrasion, the pad contains small amounts of metal particles. Nevertheless, the pads are mostly organic, you could say they are semi-metallic. This mixture results in optimal dry and wet braking values and also keeps disc wear to a minimum.
A carrier plate made of aluminum, which is equipped with cooling pins, helps to dissipate the brake heat to the ambient air much better and to prevent the brake caliper and brake discs from overheating. This effectively counteracts fading and due to the slower temperature rise, brakes with Aero-Kool pads have a more constant braking behavior.

Note: Not compatible with Shimano BR-CX75 | BR-R515 | BR-R315 brakes!
