The clamp gives you the opportunity to tidy up your cockpit. If you ride a Formula brake, your shift lever (trigger) will be attached to the handlebars via an extra clamp. With the MixMaster you save this clamp. The result is a one-piece brake lever/shift lever attachment.
Depending on which orientation you choose for the MixMaster (left or right), your shift lever (trigger) will move towards the grip (outwards on the handlebars) or away from the grip (towards the stem).

If only the right part of the handlebars is considered (looking from the saddle in the direction of travel), so that the shift lever clamp is furthest inwards on the handlebars. Then, moving further outwards, the brake lever clamp (the brake lever) is mounted (i.e. really right next to it). Then comes the grip at the end. This arrangement is assumed to be the basic situation.

If the shift lever clamp is removed from this arrangement and the Mixmaster is attached to the brake, there are two possibilities.
If the pivot points to the left (item version on the right), the position will remain very similar or the same as the previous position. This makes your cockpit tidier.
If the pin points to the right (item version on the left), the position of the shift lever (trigger) will move outwards and therefore closer to the handle. In this case, you tidy up your cockpit and change the position by approx. 3.2 cm with the same attachment point of the gearshift.
The whole principle can be transferred to the left side of the handlebars in order to attach shift levers or remote levers for the seat post to this side.
