NEWMEN is a young, innovative manufacturer of high-quality bike components founded in 2016 by Michael Grätz, a former design engineer at Syntace and Liteville. The company is based in the Allgäu region of Germany, where it not only develops and designs its products, but also rigorously tests and, in some cases, produces them. The founding of NEWMEN marked a turning point in the bicycle industry, as the company placed a strong focus on innovation and quality right from the start. Michael Grätz brought his many years of experience and deep understanding of the needs of cyclists to the new company. NEWMEN presented its first products, including the 2017 wheel models, at Eurobike 2016, just a short time after the company was founded.
NEWMEN's product range covers a wide spectrum of components for different types of bikes, including mountain bikes, road bikes and e-bikes. The main product categories include: Wheels - both carbon and aluminum wheels, cockpit components and axles.
A special feature of NEWMEN is its focus on safety and quality. The company has several state-of-the-art test benches where products are subjected to intensive testing. These tests include impact, spoke and drum test rigs, which subject the wheels to extreme loads to ensure their durability and safety. Another NEWMEN innovation is the “Colored Carbon” technology. Here, the carbon fibers of the top layer are dyed, which enables a colored look without additional weight.
