Welcome to the next Prior project from Dangerholm. This time it's decidedly Aero!

What's in store for you? Prior?
Prior comes from Latin and can be translated as "the first", "the former" or even "the previous". We found it a fitting name for test setups by Dangerholm that "disappear" again after some time because they only served as a design study. Nevertheless, there are interesting solutions on these bikes that are worth a closer look. We would now like to present the second Priorbike by Dangerholm and show you the exciting details.

This white beauty is a real eye-catcher and represents a milestone in the Prior series, especially in terms of design. Equipped with many exciting details, the paintwork reveals which technical highlights the finished (!) version of the Foil will house. Until then, the installed parts serve to test certain riding characteristics and adjust them if necessary. The main focus is on the bike's seating position and gear ratios.

What Dangerholm loves about mountain bikes should also work well on road bikes - with this expectation, the wheels from Bike Ahead Composites ended up on the Foil. In addition to the performance data, the visual appearance also speaks in favour of their use. The flat appearance harmonises well with the frame and fork from Scott. In the finished assembly, however, the wheels will be given another coat of paint. A SRAM Red crank is currently in use; a printed crank from Sturdy Cycles with a new titanium aero chainring will be used on the finished bike.

Let's move on to the groupset and the gear ratios used: While there is actually a lot to be said for using a 2-speed groupset on the front, with the planned focus on aero, using a 1-speed drivetrain was very tempting for Dangerholm. This decision also makes the bike look tidier. Since the Foil will be used on fairly flat terrain, Dangerholm opted for a 10-36 cassette and a 48 or 50 chainring. If the terrain is more mountainous, a 10-44 cassette can be used. In the area of the rear derailleur, Dangerholm is working with Kogel on an exciting tuning solution (we won't reveal more here - but a spoiler can be seen in the pictures).

Will it still be a white body? Let us surprise you!
