The BITURBO AERO is Bike Ahead's first wheel that focuses on aerodynamics while being extremely lightweight.
With the BITURBO AERO you have an aerodynamic rim design which, with a high profile of 48.5 mm, modern 20 mm internal width and hooked clincher, is a perfect match for current racing bikes. Together with aerodynamics experts, the rim and the complete spoke profile with the hub area were perfected for an ideal flow of airflow. However, one outstanding ability of the beloved BITURBO ROAD remains. It is the driving stability in cross winds. A safety factor that was very important to Bike Ahead.
The light weight of 1,450g for the set speaks for itself, but does not show the particularly favorable mass distribution of this wheel. As with all other monocoque wheels from Bike Ahead, due to the non-existent tensile load of conventional spokes, they can design the construction in such a way that the rim is very light and the rotating masses are in the center of the wheel.
